Enrico Pinot Grigio 2009For three decades The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society has tasted, judged and celebrated some of the best wine that British Columbia has to offer. If it is grown, made and bottled in BC, this is the competition to enter.

The judging for the BC Wine Awards consisted of 12 North American wine judges and took place over the course of three days in Kelowna. The competition was open to all wineries in BC that make wines from 100% BC grown grapes.

Medals were awarded on a Gold, Silver, Bronze system. There were also awards for Best Overall Red, Best Overall White, Best Overall Dessert and Best New Winery; winners were declared at the Medal Winners Wine Reception last October 8. We are proud to announce that our 2009 Pinot Grigio earned a Silver Medal! Enrico Winery and winemaker, Sarah Cosman, are delighted with this recognition.

Congratulations to all participants. A list of all the medal winners can be viewed at http://www.okanaganwineawards.com/fallawards/2010WineAwards.pdf
