Vineyard & Winery
The Vineyard
The 50 acre property was purchased in 2000 as a mixed farming operation; with a long term vision to one day convert it to a vineyard and winery. The dream was realized by the Smith Family in 2007, when 8 acres of Pinot Gris & Pinot Noir were planted. The following year, Ortega, Cabernet Libra & Cabernet Foche were added, bringing the total planted area of vineyard to 15 acres. Plans are in the works to expand the vineyard further in the near future.
The Winery
Enrico Winery was completed in time for our very first grape harvest in the summer of 2009. The winery has recently been doubled in size to accommodate the estates harvest at full production.
The winery is equipped with state of the art wine making equipment, including a 2400lt EuroPress which allows us to gently press whole berry clusters without extracting any bitterness or harsh tannins, a glycol refrigeration system that gives us complete control over temperature, and a lab that any winemaker would be eager to work in.
